My Food Philosophy
"Cooking requires confident guesswork, improvisation, experimentation and substitution, dealing with failure and uncertainty in a creative way." - Paul Theroux
Good food is essential to our well being—and all good food begins with good ingredients. For me, choosing the right ingredients is what matters most. I want to know where my food comes from, who grows it—and how. I look for fresh food that is in season, which is why I like to shop at local Farmers Market. How does it look? How does it smell? That's what I take into consideration when I choose my ingredients. Cooking to me is therapy, it is both healing and rewarding. And if all goes well, I end up with a healthy and delicious meal that I can share with my friends and family.
